About Me
“The brain is the same in everyone. Why then are we so different people?” We describe some people as being too emotional or too logical. For others, we say too social or shy. Besides, it is not only about our different traits. The mechanisms of memory creation and recall are similar in theory, but one becomes forgetful while another remembers everything in a way that surprised us. We call some people how creative they are, and we label others as having no talent. I mean, the composition of the brain may be the same for everyone. However, we create different characters, feel different, and behave different.
These questions were crossing my mind when I was a child and seemed shy to older people. It is a bit complicated while having one thought that I know for sure. Preschoolers live an enviable life with a vast imagination world, enough creativity to make five thousand games out of a toy, having a mind as sharp as a steel trap, having an insatiable desire for knowledge, etc. As they grow older, the situation changes like adolescence full of first experiences and contradictions, a juvenescence with unforgettable university memories, and then adulthood with ‘stress’ factors unique to the person but gathered under the same name. However, observing different reactions, distinctive characters, and various stories brought me here.
First, I was curious about the background of the biological functioning of all. Hence, I received my bachelor’s degree from the department of molecular biology and genetics. Later, as the questions that I mentioned at the beginning became more diverse, I realized that the brain was the one fascinating me. It is still ‘the back of the house’ for me. Of course, there are some subjects that I am lucky to know from a molecular perspective. My curiosity about being “unique” had begun to be resolved with some lessons. When I met neuroplasticity in my senior year, I found myself reading about the brain every day. I saw that the book in my hand is about the brain. The brain pages of the magazines I bought are marked. The online lessons I focus on for personal development are about the brain. I always tell people around me about quality life through a better brain. I convey to them what I have learned without getting bored. What I have tried in my life has started to turn into my lifestyle, and I always try to follow every trend/new research/information with excitement. So I’m getting have more ‘a brain passion’ day by day.
When you ask if I have expertise in neuroscience, my answer will be no. It took time to discover myself and realize that I wanted to turn my passion into my profession. I continued my master’s degree studies in molecular biotechnology. However, between experiment breaks, you would either find me telling someone about the brain or taking online psychology and neurology classes in a room. So why didn’t I advance my passion at the molecular level? You can ensure that it is a valuable world to carry out projects and solve mysteries or develop solutions in the laboratory. However, it is a different matter for me. I enjoy reading, researching, and collecting information, but I prefer to share/explain this information rather than experiment. As I do in my life, I want to improve people’s life quality with suggestions that can be used that day and bring long-term results.
The flow of this blog will be with this passion. I will try to contribute to your lives by combining what I’ve learned from lectures & seminars, what I’ve read, what I’ve researched, and the people I’ve contacted/followed. I will write down both current and new/updated information here in the most understandable way. We will look together at what has been found about the brain that we think mysterious and how it will be useful to know this information. I would be happy if I touch your lives even a little.
