Why Neuropsychology?

While cognitive and behavioral differences emerge from a biological nervous system functioning, can the disciplines psychology and neuroscience be considered separately? Although it seems like a new concept, the research area of neuropsychology has a long history. It is a multidisciplinary area that can explain the situations we often experience or read about.

Neuropsychology actually has a cycle within itself. While a damaged brain and neurological disorders can affect how we feel, think, and behave, psychological problems such as exposure to intense stress or post-traumatic syndrome can also cause neurological diseases. In other words, neuropsychological problems can sometimes lead to a memory problem, can cause learning disorders, or sometimes they can result in diseases that affect the whole body.

We will talk about neurological diseases including mental disorders. However, the main importance of this section is to use neuropsychology findings to change our perspective and the results we achieve in our lives.  We will create a new mindset for our personal development through the topics of habits, addictions, stress management, motivation, setting goals and so on.
